Your guide will meet you at Nieuwmarkt, in front of De Waag, and take you through the historic heart of Amsterdam. As you walk along the canals and through the oldest parts of the city, you will uncover Amsterdam’s rich history from the Dutch Golden Age to World War II.

Explore iconic highlights such as Dam Square, the Royal Palace of Amsterdam, the Begijnhof, the Flower Market, the 9 Streets and the Jordaan District. Along the way, your guide will share stories about the Dutch East India Company VOC, the city’s role in global trade, and key moments such as the Spanish and French invasions, including the time of Napoleon Bonaparte.
